Spring Break - Florida

Today it snowed again.  So here's where we're at:
1st Day of Spring - Freezing temps, no snow
2nd Day of Spring - Freezing temps, two inches snow
3rd Day of Spring - Freezing temps, one inch of snow

Looks like the score so far is Winter: 3, Spring: 0.  You'll get yours though, Spring, I know it.

In the meantime, remember those pictures that I recently found from my college Spring Breaks?  Yeah, I'm just going to pretend that that's where I am right now, and I'm telling you all about it and we'll all bask in the warmth of memory today, shall we?

 Having dinner in our little home away from home.  I put this one up because I think it is kind of funny that we cooked meals like a big family.


 But then sometimes we went out to eat, of course.  This was one night we got a little fancified to go out.



 And of course we spent much, much time at the beach.


 This was the only picture I could find of myself in the water, I think I got a little skittish after the experience with the dolphin?  Also, wasn't there some kind of insane jellyfish problem in the water that year?  Anyone remember?


 Random, but fun.

And then, see, I remember all of those other moments in the pictures quite clearly.  But then a picture like this one comes along, and I think

?!?!?!?! 

Who are those guys?  Why am I in a picture with them?  What is going on here, and why don't I remember it? 

Anyone?  Anyone?  Anyone?

 I do remember that shirt though, it says "I (Heart) Nerds."  Classy.

    My guess on the last one is they were hitting on you and someone talked you into a picture with them. Hahah!

    That last picture is SO random! :)

    And good grief this post made me crave sunshine and warmth. I am also tired of cold and snow, but I'm so grateful to not have everyone sick any more that I don't mind the cold as much. I am just mostly getting annoyed with having to bundle Alice up so much just to go outside.

    Well, when you think about it, doesn't everyone do crazy stuff over Spring Break that they don't remember? I sure hear about it at Ball State, haha! ;) On a serious note, I am SO over this cold weather myself! Sister Shrack just posted something on Facebook that said, "Let's celebrate the first day of Spring by building a snowman." Sad because it's true lol. I'll pretend I'm someplace warm, too. It'll come soon!

Come Take a Tour

This is the longest post of all time, but that's because of all the pictures. So I know I shouldn't let myself get carried away since we still have the inspection to go, but... I feel like we've won half the battle, so I will show you pictures now. This backyard is one of the  main reasons I wanted this house.  It is on a corner lot, and it is really quite large.  It extends just as far off to the left.  Here you can sort of see the nice swingset we've inherited also, which Hallie will love as it has swings and a slide. This is the playhouse in the backyard.  It's about nine square feet inside, and has electrical set up and in the spring/summer you can tell it is landscaped.  My girls will be a little spoiled. This is the first thing you see when you walk in the house, aside from the stairs which you can barely see in the left corner.  It is a formal dining, but we may use it as a formal sitting room. Well, That Was Unexpected

I think it all really started on Monday afternoon.  My mother and I were talking about movies that we would like to see in the movie theater.  When my mom learned that my girls had not seen Frozen yet, she decided that was something we needed to do.  I looked up show times, and saw that Tuesdays are $5 movie days with free popcorn and the theater is right by my midwife's office.  The only showing we could go to was just after my appointment with her, and everything seemed to be falling into place just perfectly. We had a plan.  We were so excited about our movie date with the girls. But things don't always go according to plan, do they? Hanna got sick that night, and spent all day Tuesday asleep on the couch.  It seemed that our perfect plan was not going to happen. Little did I know that there were going to be far greater reasons for us to miss that movie.
