List

A 16 year old girl that I know has a list of 100 things that she wants to do before she dies.  She has shared a few of the goals on her list with me, and it appears to be a truly fantastic and thorough list.

1. Sing with Justin Bieber
2. Organize a fundraiser.
3. Go skydiving.
4. Attend a movie premiere.

That's all I remember. But I started thinking what I would put on a list, if I were to make a list of things I want to do before I die. So, here goes. I don't think I'll ever get to 100 of them, but here are 10:

1. Write in this blog until dementia or paralysis sets in, or blogs become extinct, whichever comes first.
2. Bake cookies for Hallie and Hanna to have warm when they come home from school at least once a week.
3. Go to Hawaii with Devin.
4. Go on a mission with Devin.
5. Maintain an environment in my home that is welcoming, accepting, and comfortable.
6. Sew Hallie and/or Hanna an Easter dress.
7. If the Easter dress goes well, sew more.
8. Take Devin to the Amazon, and Hotel do Fraje? Frade? How was that place spelled?
9. Run a half-marathon.
10. Trippin' 06... in '16.

    Frade, and if I went back, bottom line... I would cry; not from being happy to be back but from an ache for such happy memories.

    Now if I could be back with all my kids and all their families, now that would rock. Not gonna happen :) but we'll do some fun stuff.

    - a green house for Vickie
    - a trip to Williams Lake, BC
    - a mission with Sister Boling
    - a photo with all our grandkids

    Looks like a good list to me! But what is: trippin '06/'16 ?
    My list includes seeing 7 wonders of the world. (I have seen 1... 6 to go)

    And yeah, a bucket list is what you want to do before you "kick the bucket."

    I like your list. Hm. A mission with Jeff when I'm old is definitely on my list. I wonder what else is on there . . .

Come Take a Tour

This is the longest post of all time, but that's because of all the pictures. So I know I shouldn't let myself get carried away since we still have the inspection to go, but... I feel like we've won half the battle, so I will show you pictures now. This backyard is one of the  main reasons I wanted this house.  It is on a corner lot, and it is really quite large.  It extends just as far off to the left.  Here you can sort of see the nice swingset we've inherited also, which Hallie will love as it has swings and a slide. This is the playhouse in the backyard.  It's about nine square feet inside, and has electrical set up and in the spring/summer you can tell it is landscaped.  My girls will be a little spoiled. This is the first thing you see when you walk in the house, aside from the stairs which you can barely see in the left corner.  It is a formal dining, but we may use it as a formal sitting room. Well, That Was Unexpected

I think it all really started on Monday afternoon.  My mother and I were talking about movies that we would like to see in the movie theater.  When my mom learned that my girls had not seen Frozen yet, she decided that was something we needed to do.  I looked up show times, and saw that Tuesdays are $5 movie days with free popcorn and the theater is right by my midwife's office.  The only showing we could go to was just after my appointment with her, and everything seemed to be falling into place just perfectly. We had a plan.  We were so excited about our movie date with the girls. But things don't always go according to plan, do they? Hanna got sick that night, and spent all day Tuesday asleep on the couch.  It seemed that our perfect plan was not going to happen. Little did I know that there were going to be far greater reasons for us to miss that movie.
