Authentic Vitamin D

Well, March has really let me down. You come out of February all dreary and depressed, and hope that March will lighten your spirits because it's the month that brings in Spring, officially. Such was not the case this year. Our March was truly dismal. Maybe I'm just feeling bitter because of the way it ended: on Sunday we had 4-5 inches of snow. Yes, there were snowmen dotting yards all down the street. It took three days to fully melt (maybe four, I'm afraid to look outside today) and was just really uncalled for. February however, actually yielded some really nice days, and Hallie and I took advantage and she went outside walking around for the first time ever in her young life. Here she is, taking her inaugural steps in the cold cruel world. (Although it was warm and sunny this day in February.) Please note that she is wearing the cute little cherry shoes that Great Grandma Boling got her and sent to me about a week after she was born... she finally fits in them! Also, a discerning eye might notice that she is wearing the same outfit that she was wearing on Santa's lap from that picture back in early December. That's right. She still fits in clothes that she wore months ago. She is finally over 20 pounds though, as of last week.



So, here she is, exploring the great unknown and getting some authentic Vitamin D.

    I can't watch the video yet, haha, because people are over, and I'm supposed to be paying attention to them, but I can commiserate with the weather. We've had lots of snow this March. Dang. We had a taste of 70 degree weather in February.

    awwwwwww I got to watch the video. She is so cute! And when you went around, so I could see her bow, I about died. SO CUTE. I think this is the first time I've seen her like really walk with shoes on and no adult fingers involved. She's a pro! Jeff kept expecting her to eat dirt, and that never happened, so she gets an A+ on walking and intelligence. :)

Come Take a Tour

This is the longest post of all time, but that's because of all the pictures. So I know I shouldn't let myself get carried away since we still have the inspection to go, but... I feel like we've won half the battle, so I will show you pictures now. This backyard is one of the  main reasons I wanted this house.  It is on a corner lot, and it is really quite large.  It extends just as far off to the left.  Here you can sort of see the nice swingset we've inherited also, which Hallie will love as it has swings and a slide. This is the playhouse in the backyard.  It's about nine square feet inside, and has electrical set up and in the spring/summer you can tell it is landscaped.  My girls will be a little spoiled. This is the first thing you see when you walk in the house, aside from the stairs which you can barely see in the left corner.  It is a formal dining, but we may use it as a formal sitting room. Well, That Was Unexpected

I think it all really started on Monday afternoon.  My mother and I were talking about movies that we would like to see in the movie theater.  When my mom learned that my girls had not seen Frozen yet, she decided that was something we needed to do.  I looked up show times, and saw that Tuesdays are $5 movie days with free popcorn and the theater is right by my midwife's office.  The only showing we could go to was just after my appointment with her, and everything seemed to be falling into place just perfectly. We had a plan.  We were so excited about our movie date with the girls. But things don't always go according to plan, do they? Hanna got sick that night, and spent all day Tuesday asleep on the couch.  It seemed that our perfect plan was not going to happen. Little did I know that there were going to be far greater reasons for us to miss that movie.
