Some Good Ones

Here are some lines that have been making me chuckle and laugh lately:

p.s. most of them are funny from the way the person that says them, says it... so if you don't know the incidence, it might not be funny to you. I apologize. But I have to record them for posterities sake.

"Aw banana! Why'd you have to go and get all brown and mushy?" - Sid, from Sid the Science Kid

"She kinda makes a man wanna be a miniature horse." - Cowboy, from Carrie Underwood ad

"The feature is dead Angela. Don't bring it up again." Eric, from Twilight

"So, I shouldn't have told Katie to tell her grandma that you're available?" (daughter 1)
"What?!" (dad)
"She thinks you're super delicious" (daughter 2)
"What does she look like?" (dad) - Family from T-mobile ad

"Let's move some iron!" Weird guy on Subway 5 dollar footlong ad (accompanied by weird arm gesture)

"We could move it closer!" Scott from American Idol, referring to Paula's suggestion that he mix it up and not use the piano as a crutch.

Ok, yep, I think that's about all of them. Now you know what's making me laugh these days.

    that cingular/at&t ad is hilarious! and i never really thought the quote from Twilight was funny til i read it here. lol

Come Take a Tour

This is the longest post of all time, but that's because of all the pictures. So I know I shouldn't let myself get carried away since we still have the inspection to go, but... I feel like we've won half the battle, so I will show you pictures now. This backyard is one of the  main reasons I wanted this house.  It is on a corner lot, and it is really quite large.  It extends just as far off to the left.  Here you can sort of see the nice swingset we've inherited also, which Hallie will love as it has swings and a slide. This is the playhouse in the backyard.  It's about nine square feet inside, and has electrical set up and in the spring/summer you can tell it is landscaped.  My girls will be a little spoiled. This is the first thing you see when you walk in the house, aside from the stairs which you can barely see in the left corner.  It is a formal dining, but we may use it as a formal sitting room. Well, That Was Unexpected

I think it all really started on Monday afternoon.  My mother and I were talking about movies that we would like to see in the movie theater.  When my mom learned that my girls had not seen Frozen yet, she decided that was something we needed to do.  I looked up show times, and saw that Tuesdays are $5 movie days with free popcorn and the theater is right by my midwife's office.  The only showing we could go to was just after my appointment with her, and everything seemed to be falling into place just perfectly. We had a plan.  We were so excited about our movie date with the girls. But things don't always go according to plan, do they? Hanna got sick that night, and spent all day Tuesday asleep on the couch.  It seemed that our perfect plan was not going to happen. Little did I know that there were going to be far greater reasons for us to miss that movie.
