Dancing Queen

Hallie loves to sing, and she loves to dance. Sometimes she dances to her own "songs". It's highly amusing. I have been trying to catch her dancing to record it for posterity, but it's not easy, since she stops as soon as she sees the camera so she can pose for me. This is thoughtful of her, but makes my job of recording her dance quite tricky. Well, I finally got it, but it is taken from behind, so she wouldn't see the camera.

This video is an example of one of my attempts. I really put it on here because Mimi bought her that cute little dress, and I wanted her to see how adorable Hallie looks in it. She's pretty much grown out of it, but you can still see the cuteness!





I apologize for the mixer being on, so you can't hear the music that she's dancing to. She is dancing to music though, and not the mixer.

    How cute. I love the little kid dance. I am trying to get Chloe to dance like me but she usually ends up copying Elmo monster or Zoe monster... Shake ah Shake ah FREEZE! (From Zoe Dance Lesson w/ Paula Abdul.)

    Awww she looks so cute in the dress! Thanks, Ames. :) She definitely has great moves, definitely a Boling girl. That's cute how you have to tape her from behind. :) I really like your background, too!

    The way she moves her hips the dance could be called the "Kitchen Aid Beater" so the background mixer 'music' is just right!

Come Take a Tour

This is the longest post of all time, but that's because of all the pictures. So I know I shouldn't let myself get carried away since we still have the inspection to go, but... I feel like we've won half the battle, so I will show you pictures now. This backyard is one of the  main reasons I wanted this house.  It is on a corner lot, and it is really quite large.  It extends just as far off to the left.  Here you can sort of see the nice swingset we've inherited also, which Hallie will love as it has swings and a slide. This is the playhouse in the backyard.  It's about nine square feet inside, and has electrical set up and in the spring/summer you can tell it is landscaped.  My girls will be a little spoiled. This is the first thing you see when you walk in the house, aside from the stairs which you can barely see in the left corner.  It is a formal dining, but we may use it as a formal sitting room. Well, That Was Unexpected

I think it all really started on Monday afternoon.  My mother and I were talking about movies that we would like to see in the movie theater.  When my mom learned that my girls had not seen Frozen yet, she decided that was something we needed to do.  I looked up show times, and saw that Tuesdays are $5 movie days with free popcorn and the theater is right by my midwife's office.  The only showing we could go to was just after my appointment with her, and everything seemed to be falling into place just perfectly. We had a plan.  We were so excited about our movie date with the girls. But things don't always go according to plan, do they? Hanna got sick that night, and spent all day Tuesday asleep on the couch.  It seemed that our perfect plan was not going to happen.
