Correction

I'd like to make a slight correction to a blog post I wrote a few weeks ago.  In it I stated that a woman spends at least 90% of her time waiting.  Now, as I stated in that post the algorithm used to come to that statistic was based more on emotion rather than logic, but this correction is based solely on factual information.  Namely, the pain in my feet and back.

See they are forcing me to reconsider that statistic, and reminding me that there is something that I spend considerable amount of my time doing.  When I am not waiting for something to happen, I am moving things from one place to another.

You know, moving the food from the grocery cart to the car to the cupboards and fridge to the stove to the table, and then back to the fridge.

Moving the clothes from the rack to the car to a closet to a body to the hamper (floor) to the washing machine to the dryer to the hamper (floor) to the closet.

Moving toys from here, from there, from everywhere, back to where they started.

Moving tiny bodies from this place to that place and back again.

So, to amend my previous statement I'd like to have it now go on record that I think women spend 50% of their time waiting, and 50% of their time moving things around.

    I think I spend all my time trying to keep everyone happy and satisfied. :)

Come Take a Tour

This is the longest post of all time, but that's because of all the pictures. So I know I shouldn't let myself get carried away since we still have the inspection to go, but... I feel like we've won half the battle, so I will show you pictures now. This backyard is one of the  main reasons I wanted this house.  It is on a corner lot, and it is really quite large.  It extends just as far off to the left.  Here you can sort of see the nice swingset we've inherited also, which Hallie will love as it has swings and a slide. This is the playhouse in the backyard.  It's about nine square feet inside, and has electrical set up and in the spring/summer you can tell it is landscaped.  My girls will be a little spoiled. This is the first thing you see when you walk in the house, aside from the stairs which you can barely see in the left corner.  It is a formal dining, but we may use it as a formal sitting room. Well, That Was Unexpected

I think it all really started on Monday afternoon.  My mother and I were talking about movies that we would like to see in the movie theater.  When my mom learned that my girls had not seen Frozen yet, she decided that was something we needed to do.  I looked up show times, and saw that Tuesdays are $5 movie days with free popcorn and the theater is right by my midwife's office.  The only showing we could go to was just after my appointment with her, and everything seemed to be falling into place just perfectly. We had a plan.  We were so excited about our movie date with the girls. But things don't always go according to plan, do they? Hanna got sick that night, and spent all day Tuesday asleep on the couch.  It seemed that our perfect plan was not going to happen.
