Absolute Randomness

Yesterday Hanna was singing a song that was originally from Phineas and Ferb.  The line is supposed to say something like "There's a bully shaped hole in my heart." Which, when you think about it, is random enough on its own. But then Hanna went and changed it up a little.

"A booty shaped hole in my heart."

And then Hallie got my camera again, and took some shots.








And then I got to eat some of my sister's delicious guacamole for lunch and it made me very happy.


Alright... is that enough pictures of guacamole now?  Good, good.


I ran a 5k on Saturday with some of my friends. When I say "with" I mean that we hung out at the starting line together, and then they all took off and I lumbered along behind. When it comes to races I'm really more like the tortoise than the hare, even though I've never caught any hares sleeping.  I did get my best 5k time ever though, so there's that to feel good about.  I give full credit to Tony Horton and the p90x team and Alison and Nicole for keeping me at it.  Also, it was really cold that morning.


I think that's good for now.  Have yourself a great Wednesday, you hear?

    The "booty heart" song cracks me up, even though I've only heard one line of it. Lol. Are you so excited to get out in your back yard and plant this spring? I would be. I'm already a little jealous. Nice work on your best 5k time. I'm sorta curious as to what that time is. But you don't have to say. And you're welcome for keeping you at p90x. Not that I have done much, but you're welcome nonetheless. Back and biceps tonight!

    Haha. I totally know the "bully-shaped hole in my heart" song. :) It's a duet, and the nerd sings that line. The bully sings about a "nerd-sized hole" in his heart. Very sweet. What a funny cartoon!

    Hallie is getting very good at taking pictures.

    You look so fit in that 5K picture!!

Come Take a Tour

This is the longest post of all time, but that's because of all the pictures. So I know I shouldn't let myself get carried away since we still have the inspection to go, but... I feel like we've won half the battle, so I will show you pictures now. This backyard is one of the  main reasons I wanted this house.  It is on a corner lot, and it is really quite large.  It extends just as far off to the left.  Here you can sort of see the nice swingset we've inherited also, which Hallie will love as it has swings and a slide. This is the playhouse in the backyard.  It's about nine square feet inside, and has electrical set up and in the spring/summer you can tell it is landscaped.  My girls will be a little spoiled. This is the first thing you see when you walk in the house, aside from the stairs which you can barely see in the left corner.  It is a formal dining, but we may use it as a formal sitting room. Well, That Was Unexpected

I think it all really started on Monday afternoon.  My mother and I were talking about movies that we would like to see in the movie theater.  When my mom learned that my girls had not seen Frozen yet, she decided that was something we needed to do.  I looked up show times, and saw that Tuesdays are $5 movie days with free popcorn and the theater is right by my midwife's office.  The only showing we could go to was just after my appointment with her, and everything seemed to be falling into place just perfectly. We had a plan.  We were so excited about our movie date with the girls. But things don't always go according to plan, do they? Hanna got sick that night, and spent all day Tuesday asleep on the couch.  It seemed that our perfect plan was not going to happen. Little did I know that there were going to be far greater reasons for us to miss that movie.
