fall break - utah

so i am in utah for fall break, as is my custom. it is awesome. i am at mimi's apartment with the best of both worlds - all my muncie peeps AND all my maine peeps. well, ok not all of them, but... the ones that showed up. we went salsa dancing, marc played songs for us on the guitar, we watched wicker park, we played backgammon, (marc beat me twice... dang it) marc made me breakfast this morning, swedish pancakes, amazing, western omelettes, and of course bacon. tomorrow is church, and then i hope to see the odell's, and then hang out with suzie and angie... and then monday i get to see the cannons and melissa and it's been awesome so far. oh we had a party at angie's house too. for all the muncie people. except jon ridge, he had a date. we went over to the roush's, but sister roush is in new york city, so we hung out with the kids for a while and bethie willian who is babysitting and watching the house while tiffany is gone. now marc is going to download the pictures and the movie we recorded of him singing on the guitar onto mimi's computer. it's going to be awesome. more later. love ya'll! amy

Come Take a Tour

This is the longest post of all time, but that's because of all the pictures. So I know I shouldn't let myself get carried away since we still have the inspection to go, but... I feel like we've won half the battle, so I will show you pictures now. This backyard is one of the  main reasons I wanted this house.  It is on a corner lot, and it is really quite large.  It extends just as far off to the left.  Here you can sort of see the nice swingset we've inherited also, which Hallie will love as it has swings and a slide. This is the playhouse in the backyard.  It's about nine square feet inside, and has electrical set up and in the spring/summer you can tell it is landscaped.  My girls will be a little spoiled. This is the first thing you see when you walk in the house, aside from the stairs which you can barely see in the left corner.  It is a formal dining, but we may use it as a formal sitting room. Well, That Was Unexpected

I think it all really started on Monday afternoon.  My mother and I were talking about movies that we would like to see in the movie theater.  When my mom learned that my girls had not seen Frozen yet, she decided that was something we needed to do.  I looked up show times, and saw that Tuesdays are $5 movie days with free popcorn and the theater is right by my midwife's office.  The only showing we could go to was just after my appointment with her, and everything seemed to be falling into place just perfectly. We had a plan.  We were so excited about our movie date with the girls. But things don't always go according to plan, do they? Hanna got sick that night, and spent all day Tuesday asleep on the couch.  It seemed that our perfect plan was not going to happen. Little did I know that there were going to be far greater reasons for us to miss that movie.
